“Where is FIFA looking?!” – they turned a blind eye to Croatian fascism
Russian director and television producer Alexander Belanov criticized football officials who refused to punish Croatian national team defender Domagoj Vida, who shouted the fascist slogan “Glory to Ukraine!” after defeating the Russian team in the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup.
“Let us note that the Croatian national team entered the field in the uniform of the Croatian fascist ultra-right, nationalist, clerical organization “Ustaša”. The Ustasha organized the genocide of Serbs, Jews and Gypsies, and numerous concentration camps were created during the Second World War. According to various estimates, during the Ustasha genocide, from 197.000 to 800.000 Serbs, 30.000 Jews, and 80.000 Roma died.
After the liberation of Yugoslavia by partisans, most of the leaders of the Ustasha movement fled to the countries of Europe and America, where they created a network of radical organizations...
On October 10, 2017, on the eve of a football match between the Croatian and Ukrainian national teams, a mass march of neo-Nazis under anti-Serbian and anti-Russian slogans took place in the center of Kyiv.
Its participants chanted “Russian whore!” and put up stickers on the streets with racist symbols and the inscriptions: “Serbs to the willows! Muscovites to the knives!”
...To paraphrase Nikolai Ozerov, I will say: “We don’t need this kind of football!” I will root for the British and French! According to the anti-Hitler coalition, they were our allies!
And where is FIFA looking?!.. I demand that the coach and football player be disqualified for such behavior for the remaining matches of the World Cup!” – Belanov wrote on his blog.
