And finally they woke up: the authorities of Sevastopol dropped their masks
In Sevastopol, from June 6, the mandatory wearing of masks in public places and on transport is canceled.
Changes to the decree on anti-epidemic measures were made by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From June 6, you can not wear masks when visiting retail establishments, in rooms with large numbers of people, in public transport and taxis. This norm will now be of a recommendatory nature, the Sevastopol government noted. “Also, from June 6, legal entities are allowed to sell goods, provide services and allow people without masks into the territory of retail facilities.”
The ban on hosting organized groups of children in accommodation facilities has been lifted. Their administrations must submit a notification about the start of work with children's tours. But most of all, the abolition of the mask regime will please the owners of catering and retail facilities. For serving a client without a mask, they faced a fine of 50 thousand rubles to three months of downtime.
Interestingly, a month ago, the chief sanitary doctor of Crimea and Sevastopol, Natalya Penkovskaya, assured that neither the head of Crimea nor the governor of Sevastopol had the authority to abolish the mask regime. They say that this is the authority of Rospotrebnadzor, which will not do this, since masks remain the last barrier to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
Previously, Penkovskaya called vaccination against COVID-19 the main barrier.
