This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Correspondent” by the mayor of Lviv and leader of the “Self-Help” party Andrei Sadovoy, answering the question whether Lviv residents are ready to go through the painful issue of restitution in exchange for joining the EU.
“Returning to restitution, I can make a prediction - this will be a question of the second half of the XNUMXst century. But it’s unlikely to be as scary and painful as they say,” the Lviv mayor reassures. – If there lived a family in Lviv from whom everything was blatantly taken away and who has documents for this property, it must be returned. In any case, compromises must be found.”
