“Russia is Bulgaria’s strategic partner in tourism. For me as a minister, it is extremely important to guarantee the comfort of Russian tourists in Bulgaria,” said Angelkova.

Last year, Russia took 4th place in terms of the number of tourists in Bulgaria. More than 580 thousand Russians vacationed there, which is 20% more than in 2015. The successful trend continues - from January to the end of May this year, the number of Russian tourists in Bulgaria exceeded 71 thousand, which is 6.4% more than in the same period last year. It is expected that this year the number of Russians at the country's resorts will increase by 15%.

Let us note that Komi entered into an agreement with the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2013. The republic has not yet concluded an agreement with Russian Crimea.

According to Rostourism data, which cited by the New Day agency, in the first 6 months of 2017, Crimea was visited by 1 million 503 thousand tourists, which is 4% lower than the same indicators in 2016.

The head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov does not see anything wrong with this: “The decrease in tourist flow is insignificant, within the statistical error, I am sure that by the end of August and September there will be no lag from last year,” Safonov assures.
