The Supreme Court of Russia today rejected the defense's appeal and upheld the verdict in the case of Ukrainians Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klikh, accused in the Russian Federation of participating in the First Chechen War on the side of Chechen separatists, as well as of murdering Russian soldiers.

Let us recall that in May the Supreme Court of Chechnya sentenced Karpyuk and Klykh to 22 and a half and 20 years in prison, respectively.
