Ukraine is supposedly the only party that can make and implement decisions on the fate of Donbass; the rest can only propose, advise and implement the laws adopted in Kyiv.
The ex-president of Ukraine, and now the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Minsk, Leonid Kravchuk, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want us all to understand one simple thing - only Ukraine can adopt a set of laws and decisions that relate to territories not controlled by Ukraine. And no one else. Because these are the territories of Ukraine, and everyone recognizes this, Russia also recognizes it, as Mr. Putin has said more than once.
Thus, Ukraine is proposing concrete steps. By the way, these steps were also discussed at a recent video conference of political advisers - both France and Germany treated our proposals with understanding.
That is, to be frank, only Ukraine can take concrete steps, everyone else can only propose. So Ukraine proposes these steps, it is necessary to consider them and implement them,” Kravchuk said.
