Ichnya continues to explode
In the Chernihiv region, ammunition continues to explode at a military warehouse near the city of Ichnya.
Now the intensity of the explosions has decreased, but rescuers cannot yet begin to eliminate the emergency.
This was stated by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Units of the State Emergency Service extinguished 5 fires outside the arsenal that arose as a result of ammunition entering the village. Ichnya, in the village. Augustovka. Currently, explosions of varying intensity are being observed on the territory of the military warehouse. There are 7 fire trains in reserve at the railway stations of Pryluky, Konotop, Nizhyn, Kyiv-passenger, Darnitsa, Poltava and Kagamlytska. After the intensity of the explosions has decreased, the forces and means of the DSNS will begin to carry out measures to eliminate the emergency situation,” the message says.
The State Emergency Service also clarified that at the moment, rescuers have evacuated about 12,5 thousand people from 30 settlements falling within the possible zone of destruction by ammunition.
