According to him, the majority of Ukrainians want to live in an independent and united country, but they do not accept the ideas adopted by the new government.
“In Ukraine there is a threat of falling into a national-patriotic project, which will alienate many of our fellow citizens who share the idea of an independent Ukraine, but do not support such a one-sided national-patriotic regime with elements of dictatorship.
We see this from sociological data. That is why, after a year of support and patience, there is a failure of mobilization into the army, an increase in critical sentiment, negative expectations for the fall, and so on.
This is a serious challenge, and there is six months left. As in 90, the majority of Ukrainians support the independence of Ukraine. They stand for a national state, but do not support the national-patriotic line, which splits them and pits them against each other,” Ermolaev said.
