The idea of the Majlis to organize an all-Ukrainian cry for Crimea failed
The fourth anniversary of the “Day of Crimean Resistance to Russian Aggression” was greeted by the leading TV channels of Ukraine with amazing indifference. Basically, these were short live broadcasts from Maidan Independence, where the announced small rally took place.
Judging by the picture, the organizers failed to recruit an impressive crowd. Even Ukrainian journalists noted the participation of “about a hundred protesters.”
The information channel “112” showed a minute and a half live broadcast from the Maidan, and the TV presenter promised “we will continue to keep you informed of events,” and the topic was closed.

The Inter TV channel on February 26 was no less laconic. The only difference was that the gathering on Maidan Independence was mentioned in passing, and the remaining time was devoted to the sad chewing of the button accordion “four years ago, 15 thousand Crimeans came to the square to speak out in support of Ukraine.” The topic also did not receive a continuation.
For more than a day, NewsOne broadcasts have been revolving around everything, not just Crimea. Apparently, the management of the “opposition” TV channel decided not to waste effort on scratching out sores and not to once again traumatize its viewer with a reminder of a nut that Ukraine is not able to crack.
For almost four and a half minutes, the topic of Crimea was rinsed by black-mouthed women in the evening edition of TSN on Kolomoy-TV “1+1”. And even then, instead of telling a story about the “day of support,” the little women set up a talking shop, jumping straight to February 27 with the appearance of the “little green men.” But today no one raised the Crimean issue, as if nothing had happened.
The most prolific, as one would expect, besides the Majlis mouthpieces, was the Fifth Channel “Roshenka”. As many as ten stories from 6 to 33 minutes of airtime with the participation of the talking heads of prominent deprived people Dzhemilev, Chiygoz and Umerov. Perhaps, “Roshenka” was the only Ukrainian TV channel to broadcast an almost two-hour morning “analytical” program about the “day of the Crimean resistance” today.
Which is very strange, because all of yesterday Petya was silent, like a fish on ice, and instead of him, little political hands were muttering on the topic “Crimea is Ukraine.”
The STB television channel was mired in sheer entertainment and briefly mentioned the “Day Against” in yesterday’s news release, without going into too much detail, as if the events of that day took place somewhere far away, and not in Ukraine. Today they didn’t think about Crimea even while running.
“New Channel” didn’t bother at all with Ukraine’s suffering from the loss of Crimea, so the shows, scandals, serials and other crap went on and on as usual. What is Crimea? It was a long time ago and not true! Drive away unpleasant memories - don’t stop people from enjoying life here and now!
On the ICTV channel on February 26, Crimea was mentioned only in news releases, and today on the talk show “Freedom of Speech” one of the leaders of the Opposition Bloc, Vilkul, was released, telling those present that “Crimea and Donbass are two parts of one big problem.” In progress

At the same time, Vilkul confidentially said that he knows how to return and reintegrate Donbass in six months, after which long-term work will follow to return Crimea on international platforms. February 26 was quite lively on another Poroshenko TV channel, “Direct.” The American Bandera member Taras Kuzio visited the anacephalic Taras Berezovets, who gave valuable advice to the dill - to boldly launch a sabotage war in Crimea. Actually, the dear guest from overseas had a lot of valuable advice for brothers in insanity, but this one was the most beautiful. The second time they remembered Crimea in the evening, on the talk show “Razom” with the participation of Veresny and the mustachioed Kisel, but not as a separate topic, but as one of the list. And on February 27, Crimea was no longer remembered.
State TV channel UA: Pershiy prepared a two-hour special project “Until the day against the occupation of Crimea” and mentioned twice more in short stories about the events of February 26, 2014 in Crimea. Today the management of the TV channel has ceased to be interested in this topic.
The fact is obvious: memories of Crimea at UT are becoming thinner and thinner.
It is safe to say that the exciting “Majlis” task of inflating the day of February 26 into a national date that will excite and prick Ukrainian society every day has failed. Basically, leading TV channels treated the topic of the day formally, mentioning “Crimeans for unity with Ukraine” in the news, without diving into details and not bothering to create additional content. Exceptions in the form of the official UA: First and Poroshenko’s “Fifth”, which can be considered conditionally official, rather emphasize the rule.
Crimea is gone, and, apart from a handful of Nazis and loudmouths in their pay, people in Kyiv now prefer not to remember the peninsula, or to remember it occasionally, on special days. For, as Confucius once said, when a rhinoceros looks at the moon, it wastes the flowers of its spleen. Moreover, the independent rhinoceros has very few of these flowers left.
