The idea of Novorossiya may spread to Bessarabia and the Kherson region - Ukrainian expert
When the conflict in Donbass is frozen, Ukraine loses an entire generation of people growing up on the territory of the LDPR, which is what Russia is trying to achieve by making similar plans for Bessarabia, Tavria, Mykolayiv region and Kherson region.
This was stated during a round table in Kyiv by a senior researcher at the Institute for Strategic Studies subordinate to the President of Ukraine, military expert Valery Kravchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m watching my home school on YouTube, it’s just terrible! I graduated from Russian school in 2003, school 115 in Donetsk. Two classes (years) before me, a certain Nikonorova graduated (Head of the DPR Foreign Ministry - ed.) We studied, we were very friendly in class.
The school has now actually been transformed into... as in Crimea, you saw, into a school with enhanced military education of people, children from elementary to high school. With Russian language lessons, with kokoshniks, bast shoes, stoves!
And all this goes on in succession, every month it is open on YouTube - Donetsk, school 115. Open it up and just see what's going on there and it really bothers me.
We are losing a generation of people who could perceive Ukraine normally; they will not perceive it. This time, losses from freezing.
The second and most dangerous thing is that we are sending the wrong signal. Our citizens are held hostage there. If we freeze a conflict, we say – guys and girls, that’s it, goodbye. See you in another life. And this is a symbol.
Russia wants us to do this. Because this is Kozak's plan. This is a sign for Bessarabia, this is a sign for Tavria. If you think that the Kherson region is a very calm region, or the Nikolaev region, then I will tell you that anything can happen,” Kravchenko worries.
