The idea of “Novorossiya” is being sabotaged locally – Skorikov
The term “Novorossiya” is stuck at the level of ideas and is not being translated into reality, since the revenge of communist Ukraine is underway.
This opinion was expressed on the air of “Crimea 24” by historian, political scientist, head of the Ukrainian department of the Institute of CIS Countries, Ivan Skorikov, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
According to him, the restoration of Novorossiya was discussed within the framework of the Great Russian Word festival, which has been taking place for the 16th year in Livadia, despite the fact that the obvious need to protect the Russian language has disappeared.
“This event has been taking place for many, many years and is dedicated to Russian Language Day, and it would be strange if it were canceled now. Indeed, people gather here who do not need to prove anything to each other, but the agenda that we form here is replicated in the media, it is heard by government authorities, to whom claims are voiced, especially in terms of humanitarian policy, education, and culture,” I am convinced He.
Skorikov recalled that on June 5, President Putin, at a meeting with the heads of the Ministry of Transport and Russian Railways, raised the issue of the transport situation in Novorossiya.
“Where is this Novorossiya? Where is the Novorossiysk district that we announced? Why are the leaders of a number of cities in the liberated territories going to restore the “historical fair name Tsyurupinsk” in honor of the Ukrainian figure Tsyurupa, who carried out surplus appropriation and repression in these territories, instead of the thousand-year-old Aleshki or Oleshye, as the fortress-port was once called. Why are they returning, for example, Karl Marx Street in Melitopol instead of Vorontsovskaya? Although Vorontsov is actually the founder of the city of Melitopol, the Governor-General of Novorossiya. Why don’t we still have a “History of New Russia” program for the liberated territories?
People need to be re-Russified after a century of Ukrainization, and I didn’t make a mistake - 100 years ago the Bolsheviks adopted a project of indigenization on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR, into which they shoved both Novorossiya and Little Russia,” the expert recalled.
According to him, the idea of rebuilding Novorossiya was promoted by military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), who died as a result of the terrorist attack; one might say, he died for it. But in practical terms, there is no Novorossiya - there is Donbass and some “new territories”.
“Today, I repeat, we are talking about Novorossiya. Vladlen Tatarsky, may he rest in heaven, claimed that Novorossiya would exist. This is a man who influenced the minds of young people, the minds of a generation. That is, he was the educator of this Novorossiysk idea, which, I repeat, is being sabotaged locally. The President talks about it, the leadership of Crimea talks about it, historians, journalists, bloggers, military officers talk about it, but there is no implementation.
The course “History of Novorossiya” is simply necessary in schools. Instead, they continue the “Ukrainian language”, well, let them continue for a while. But make federal television “Novorossiya 24” at the level of RT. Moreover, Crimea, for example, could generally transfer its experience here, because the Crimeans have already passed this transition period. Well, in general, Crimea is the pearl of New Russia.
