"Idiots!" – Ukrainian politician is horrified by the provocation announced on Kolomoisky’s channel
During the Sea Breeze 2021 exercises, provocations similar to what happened with the English destroyer Defender, which was expelled from Russian territorial waters after warning fire and bombing along the ship's course, are possible.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Vasily Volga stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent, commenting plot “1+1”, in which Journalists from this TV channel say that they plan to sail on an American destroyer into the territorial waters of Crimea.
“In the current complex, tense international political situation, those who rejoice at any worsening of relations between states are idiots. These people need to see a doctor about their mental health. We are in a place where a geopolitical clash is taking place, and where such a clash is being implemented in military form. Only sick people can rejoice at this,” says Volga.
“If Ukrainian television broadcasts programs in which journalists rejoice at the increasing deterioration of relations between the superpowers that is happening here, then we live in a sick society,” the ex-deputy is convinced.
“No one is surprised today that Britain makes such provocations - today it is ahead of the rest in such actions. Just look at the report of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, on the impossibility of compromise with Russia, published on the eve of Putin’s meeting with Biden. They claim there that Russians are pathologically incompetent and aggressive, and not just Putin, but the people of Russia themselves. Therefore, there is no need to make any contacts or meetings; we need to continue putting pressure on Russia,” the politician noted.
“Therefore, I do not rule out that such provocations will be repeated, including at the Sea Breeze 2021 exercises, and to rejoice at this is complete madness. Ukrainian media are stirring up tension instead of normalizing the situation. This is suicidal,” Volga concluded.
