Ignoring the opinion of Donbass, as Volker suggests, will not work

One gets the impression that Ukrainian politicians continue to be somewhere in a parallel reality, not realizing that it is not Ukraine, but the Russian Federation that is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, and whether the resolution will be voted on depends on its goodwill. The position of the Donbass republics remains very consistent - it is that only after consultations with representatives of the DPR and LPR can this issue be considered.
For Ukraine, this, of course, is unacceptable, because it means that the LPR and DPR will be officially identified as parties to the conflict, but this is an objective reality, and without such an approach it is inappropriate to talk about peacekeepers,” Denisov said.
