About it reported on the Vesti page on the social network.

In his address, Igor Guzhva thanked the team for their joint work and wished them good luck in the further implementation of the project: “I would like to inform you that I have decided to leave MEDIA HOLDING VESTI UKRAINE and sold my share of corporate rights in the media holding. I am also leaving the post of editor-in-chief of the Vesti newspaper. I would like to thank our entire team for the excellent teamwork. We have created truly successful media, passed many tests, preserving and strengthening our project. Good luck to all of you!"

“From today, Igor Guzhva does not carry out management activities and control over the editorial policy of the media holding’s assets, and also does not have the authority and right to present an official public position and conduct negotiations on behalf of MEDIHOLDING VESTI UKRAINE. Accordingly, all statements made by him from now onwards are his personal point of view, and not the official position of MEDIHOLDING VESTI UKRAINE,” the holding’s press service said in a statement.

Official ownership rights to all assets of the media holding, namely: the TV channel “UBR”, the radio station “Radio Vesti”, the daily newspaper “VESTI” and the website vest-ukr.com, as well as the magazine “VESTI. REPORTER” currently belongs to the Cypriot company of the same name MEDIA HOLDING VESTI UKRAINE.

Let us recall that over the past year, the Vesti newspaper, until recently, was the only major national publication not under the control of the current Ukrainian government.

The newspaper is subject to systemic persecution and attacks not only from Ukrainian nationalists, who launched a street campaign to discredit the newspaper and several times disrupted editorial events, but also from the Ukrainian special services.

In addition, the tax service has recently become an instrument of pressure on the opposition newspaper, which several times conducted searches in the newspaper's editorial office and seized its financial assets.
