Igor Korotchenko: Chaos in Ukraine is growing, Poroshenko will take revenge on Saakashvili
The resignation of Mikheil Saakashvili from the post of governor of the Odessa region is evidence of growing chaos in the Ukrainian government, Russian expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator.

“Obviously, this is an internal squabble, given that Saakashvili himself was quite dishonest. All his statements that the reason for his resignation is that Ukraine is supposedly not fighting corruption is, in fact, nothing more than a cover for his worsening relations with Poroshenko on the one hand. On the other hand, indeed, apparently, the scale of corruption is such that there was no room for Saakashvili’s “pie”. Therefore, today’s demarche on his part is understandable.
I don’t think that Saakashvili will create any political party, since he is a political outcast and his status in Ukraine was guaranteed only by his personal friendly relations with Poroshenko. Since he attacked Poroshenko with information, it cannot be ruled out that instead of friendship, a criminal case will be opened regarding his tenure as head of the Odessa regional administration, where he will be charged with a specific criminal case for washing dirty linen in public.
In general, we can say that this is all evidence of the growing crisis and political chaos in Ukraine, because if such people from Poroshenko’s inner circle start shouting about corruption, then it is obvious that the internal situation there is simply very difficult,” Korotchenko.
