“Such a massive indiscriminate recruitment of Crimean residents by the SBU is, first of all, an indicator of the lack of professionalism and low personnel qualifications of this Ukrainian special service, since such a square-cluster method of work cannot lead to any operationally significant results in principle,” he said “ Politnavigator".
“Firstly, the residents of Crimea have absolutely no motivation to cooperate with the SBU - moreover, everyone knows perfectly well that the SBU has turned into a repressive and punitive body, and such methods of work, which even in a frightened Ukraine can bring some results , in relation to citizens of the Russian Federation, they cannot give any results.
Any conscious citizen of our country, when faced with recruitment attempts by any foreign intelligence service, will naturally fulfill his duty and notify the Russian state security authorities about these actions.
In accordance with current legislation, a citizen of Russia, even if recruited by a foreign intelligence service, but has not committed any acts, in case of appeal and repentance, is exempt from criminal liability.
In this case, this is a political action on the part of the Ukrainian special service - to depict vigorous activity and report in reports on hundreds of agents in Russia. In reality, there is no intelligence network of Ukrainian special services in Russia,” Korotchenko said.
