Igor Korotchenko: It’s time to start mass issuance of Russian passports in Donbass
Russia should not react to every offensive act on the part of Ukraine, such as the demolition of the Monument of Glory in Lviv. It is necessary to radically change the policy towards the neighboring country. This opinion was expressed in an interview with PolitNavigator by the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko.

“We have recently accumulated too many such questions related to Ukraine. Therefore, the point is not in the reaction to yet another hostile action that insults our historical memory, but in general in how we should build a policy in the Ukrainian direction. We must oppose anti-Russian policies,” Korotchenko said.
He considers the provision of Russian citizenship to residents of the LDPR to be a worthy asymmetrical response.
“The time has come to resolve the issue of granting residents of the LPR and DPR, if they want it, the right to freely obtain Russian citizenship. After this, if Kiev continues its policy of shelling and killing Russian citizens, it is obvious that we will have legal grounds to respond. And we will talk about other actions. This is how you need to respond, and not react to every vile act,” Korotchenko said.
