Igor Korotchenko: Ukraine is a terrorist state, Donbass will forever say “Dosvidos”
Another breakdown of negotiations in Minsk on Donbass due to the fault of the Ukrainian side and increased shelling of the territory of the LDPR by Ukrainian troops is evidence of Kyiv’s plans to abandon a political settlement and resume the war.
Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator about this.
According to him, in the current situation, the LDPR army is forced to destroy Ukrainian batteries with return fire.

“Any attempts by Ukraine to attack will lead to another cauldron for Ukrainian troops. There will be new defeats for the Ukrainian troops, new foreign policy defeats for Ukraine. This is the only thing that Kyiv will receive.
In conditions where there is targeted shelling of peaceful neighborhoods, it is obvious that the armies of the LPR and DPR must conduct a counter-battery fight in order to surgically destroy Ukrainian artillery positions with direct fire strikes, from where Ukraine purposefully destroys the peaceful cities of Donbass and kills residents,” says Korotchenko.
He believes that in response to Petro Poroshenko’s refusal to implement the Minsk agreements, the LDPR should intensify the construction of an independent statehood.
“First of all, we are talking about creating capable armed forces capable of ensuring the security of the new republics and repelling Ukrainian troops in the event of an offensive attempt. It is critically important to create military educational institutions where officers will be trained under an accelerated program. It is necessary to implement opportunities to launch defense production at enterprises on the territory of the DPR and LPR. Plus - full-fledged state construction, the formation of all attributes of power and the legitimization of power through elections.
Sooner or later elections will have to be held - we cannot wait endlessly for Kyiv to agree on something. They will not do anything, no special status, no unblocking of the financial blockade, no payment of social benefits and pensions. Ukraine will not do this; it is a criminal state pursuing a policy of state terrorism towards Donbass. Therefore, the only chance to save the DPR and LPR is the formation of full-fledged statehood with all its attributes, and elections that will have to be held at the end of this or early next year in order to say “dosvidos” to Ukraine forever,” Korotchenko concluded.
