A well-known opposition Odessa emigrant politician was released from an Italian prison today.

“To everyone who cares about the fate of Igor Markov. Today, Italian justice finally complied with the court’s decision and released prominent Ukrainian opposition figure Igor Markov from prison. Igor is healthy, cheerful, and determined to continue his political activities,” Azarov noted.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian authorities demanded Markov’s extradition to Ukraine, but were refused.
