Why did I tell this story? And what will be the moral? And everything is simple really. This is a story about heroes - real and false. About those who are pushed to the forefront, turning into role models for others. Limonov very accurately noted in “Disciplinary Sanatorium” that in the modern world – the matrix – the role of heroes is played by celebrities: old people, superstars and even megastars. They create the appearance of an eternal “follow me.”
And, unfortunately, in the matrix of the new brave world, such Mamaevs are not freaks, not scum, not fools, but successful models that people want to imitate. And in the end they will imitate.

What is happening with football in Russia is an obvious disaster when someone suddenly decided that the country should achieve success in this sport. True, there are no special successes, but several generations of football players have appeared, famous only for having a Russian passport. In the world, no one needs them - only for internal use, but in it the demand for them grows with each new season (due to the idiotic limit on foreigners, mainly), and the agents skillfully play their dirty games. As a result, footballer has become almost the most profitable profession in the country, when several million euros a year are received for doing nothing and eternal shame; do you want it like that? Otherwise! But not everyone will be allowed in.
Further more. Over time, when the market for football players became oversaturated and rich, another profitable “profession” appeared - the wife of a football player. Young women began a real hunt for athletes. And these are not just individual cases, but a whole systematized business, into which it is very difficult to get an entrance ticket. For this purpose, girls train to eventually become the wife of a football player.
And this, in fact, is the story that with such guidelines, with such role models - artificial, imposed - it is difficult to hope for something serious and worthwhile on a national scale, because the destruction is both physical and, first of all, mental – begins at the local level, when a person is taught to sell himself beautifully, and that’s all. This is a kind of global escort game, in which only a few will be lucky at best - and even then not forever. After all, the same wives of football players are a perishable commodity that is consumed and exchanged very quickly. Yes, a few will be lucky, but millions will be poisoned by the spirit of consumption and corruption. Thousands have already turned up.
Here I remember the text of the telegram cited in Saltykov-Shchedrin’s diaries and sent from Nice to his son by his mother, congratulating him on receiving the rank of collegiate adviser: “Full of pride. I bless the college adviser. Sell Russia, sell quickly, send money. I'm broke. Natalia". Has anything changed? And most importantly, will it change? As long as we have such football players and such their wives - such role models - do not expect general improvements. There will be no one to improve.
