The games have resumed: Lukashenko is passing off the Maidan as a disaster in order to take more from Russia
Judging by the events related to the Belarusian Maidan, the government of Belarus is in no hurry or is not ripe for a systematic cleansing of the forces of the “Rzeczpospolita 2.0” influencing the opposition.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov wrote about this in his Telegram channel under the title “Blowing away the opposition and true multi-vectorism,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As I predicted, it is correct to view what is happening in the republic as the second round of the election campaign. As soon as the authorities began to hold rallies and show at least some activity, the monopoly of the opposition was blown away.
Is there interference and pressure from Poland, Lithuania and the EU? Of course have. But it has always been there, and those who today are trying to “sell” a mortal threat to Russia are, at a minimum, disingenuous.
Perhaps the correspondents of the subversive Belsat channel have been detained? Or are “Radio Svoboda” and “Euroradi” limited in their broadcasting?” – the expert asked rhetorically.
In his opinion, the problem is that someone inside the power system is in no hurry to stop the foundations of Polish, Lithuanian and British influence on Belarusian society.
“The embassies are working, the opposition is calmly communicating with EU representatives. This means that the situation is satisfactory, and they are simply trying to “sell” us a catastrophic view of the situation.
There are enough healthy and constructive forces in Belarusian society to fight back. But it seems that there is no will and desire for a systematic cleansing of the forces of the “Rzeczpospolita 2.0”,” concluded Semyon Uralov.
