“Either the blacks will shoot you, or the cops.” Americans fear civil war
Protests against police brutality taking place in the United States, periodically resulting in pogroms and violent clashes with security forces, are fraught with civil conflict.
This was stated in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets by Russian woman Arina, who lives in the center of the theater district of Los Angeles, which has been affected by protests and pogroms, and works as a fashion designer.
“It’s like we’re in a prison here, we have quarantine and a curfew. You cannot go outside after 4 pm. Nobody breaks it - it's dangerous. Either the blacks will shoot you, or the police will shoot you. But I still took the risk of going for a run this morning. Armed National Guardsmen patrol the streets. Fires are still being extinguished in many places. Everything around is boarded up, all the shops and establishments are like wooden containers,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
She also told what Americans fear and talk about about what is happening.
“They are afraid that a civil war will start. And this will be a sea of blood, because America is the most armed country in the world; we have 100 firearms per 120,5 people,” says Arina.
