“Today, in the eyes of the whole world, the whole world expects: either the situation will go through de-escalation, agreements, ceasefire, withdrawal of weapons, stopping people from dying... or if Minsk does not become this symbol... the situation will actually go to pieces. I am convinced that it will get out of control,” Poroshenko said
“It is very symbolic that the meeting is taking place in Minsk. Today, the peace process is associated with the Minsk Protocol of September 5 and the Minsk Memorandum of September 19. I keep my fingers crossed that today’s date will go down in the history of world diplomacy as a resolution to the conflict,” said the Ukrainian president.
In turn, Alexander Lukashenko assured that he would contribute as much as possible to resolving the situation in Ukraine.
“We will do everything to ensure that there is peace and tranquility in your country,” said the President of Belarus.
