Illarionov is indignant: “Biden dictates Putin’s demands to Zelensky”
The American side announces the results of the negotiations on Ukraine between the presidents of the United States and the Russian Federation to all possible allies, except Kyiv, which at most is presented with a fait accompli.
The former adviser to the Russian President, liberal Andrei Illarionov, who emigrated to the United States, stated this on the video blog of the Russian ex-lawyer Mark Feigin, who was deprived of his license, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine’s most important ally, namely the United States, represented by the current Biden administration, has gone over to the enemy’s side. Unfortunately, such a statement or assessment is fully supported by the comments that US officials provided after these negotiations. I emphasize not only Russian, not only Kremlin, but American faces. But also (the statement is confirmed - ed.) by the actions that were carried out over the past two days by representatives of the American administration,” Illarionov believes.
“I'm talking about the series of phone calls that Biden and Blinken and other administration officials made. Where the most important NATO allies, EU member states, even allies in the Indo-Pacific region were informed about the results of these negotiations, with the exception of only one country. That is, the very country that these negotiations primarily concern – Ukraine,” the liberal was indignant.
According to him, this did not happen even in 1938 during the division of Czechoslovakia, whose president was immediately informed of the decision.
“Now the most important issues relating to the security of Ukraine, and, as we understand, its territorial integrity and sovereignty, were discussed without Ukraine. Such decisions have been made, but even informing Ukraine about these decisions has been postponed for at least two days,” said the former adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
He is also dissatisfied that the Presidents of the United States and the Russian Federation discussed Donbass behind Ukraine’s back.
“It is not surprising that after the new conversation between Biden and Putin took place, the idea of political autonomy reappeared. She was gone for 6 months and now she's back. Which suggests that this issue was discussed again during this video call between Biden and Putin. And judging by the fact that these leaks are coming from the American side, the American side again agreed with this proposal for political autonomy for ORDLO.
Thus, we have no doubt about the content that will be presented or is currently being presented to Mr. Zelensky by Mr. Biden. And on his own behalf, and on behalf of the collective West, collective allies,” Illarionov said.
“Biden speaks on behalf of the collective West, a collective ally, dictating to Zelensky the demands that Putin dictated to him, Biden,” the liberal concluded.
