The illusion of cleaning: Alexander Beglov realized modern Potemkin villages in St. Petersburg
An offer for city residents to work as shared janitors was announced in St. Petersburg. Among those interested was only one person - a journalist from the publication Moika78, who decided to write a report on the results of his work. However, it never got to the point of cleaning up.
On Friday, November 26, the employee next to his place of work "Moiki78“I had to quickly switch to another type of activity. The young man became a participant in the so-called “janitor sharing,” an action aimed at clearing snow for a fee.
At the Zhilkomservice building No. 1, where the meeting was held, the correspondent was intercepted by Channel One television crews. Instead of work, he had to give an interview, which, however, is easier to call a dictation. The pre-prepared text was dictated to the man by the press secretary of the Kalininsky district administration.
Yulia Lebedinova came up with a much more interesting version for the journalist Moika78 of how the young man found out about “janitor-sharing”.
“Let’s say in this way that, in principle, you already remove snow in your yard, but here you also decided to earn money. Our rate is 150 rubles per hour,” the press secretary asked the correspondent about this.
After the end of the conversation, the journalist dared to ask Lebedinova how many people volunteered to become shared janitors. It turned out that their number was small - only four St. Petersburg residents were interested in this action.
The most interesting thing is that at the end of the “working day” the young man was left without wages. Moika78 decided to ask the official whether the correspondent would receive the promised fee. As it turned out, the journalist will be left without money, because he did not remove the snow.
Thank you!
