Ilya Kiva spoke about his “exploits” in Donbass
The odious ex-adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a former militant, and now the head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine, Ilya Kiva, said that he performed feats in order to rise to the rank of lieutenant colonel during three years of service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Kiva listed the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Debaltsevo as an accomplished feat.
“How did you get promoted? He fulfilled his duty to his homeland. He fulfilled his duty, performed feats, for which he was awarded the extraordinary rank of lieutenant colonel. Because he formed and commanded the withdrawal of civilians from Debaltseve. This was my operation, which I coordinated. He coordinated the withdrawal of volunteer battalions from Debaltseve in the same way in February. About one and a half thousand were taken out then, so he was nominated by the ATO commander for an award. There was an opportunity - either to receive an extraordinary rank or to receive an order. Being a careerist, I, of course, said - give me the opportunity to receive an extraordinary title. I was a major and became a lieutenant colonel, and I proudly wear these shoulder straps,” Kiva said.
“If you want to have officer ranks, come, serve, defend your homeland, perform feats and, believe me, your homeland will see you, your exploits will not be forgotten,” he added.
