“Have a conscience! The EU buys Russian oil bypassing sanctions” – Kiev economist
European countries are only promoting themselves on anti-Russian sanctions, but in fact they continue to buy the same oil from the Russian Federation through India and Turkey.
Kiev economist Alexander Okhrimenko stated this on the Internet channel “Yes it is,” as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What have we seen in 10 months? Gas production in Russia fell by about 20%, but oil production increased! Guys, this is no good, where are your sanctions? The logic of sanctions is that you must squeeze so hard that the production falls! But it turned out that you introduced sanctions, and production increased, which means you are doing something a little wrong.
Situation: yes, Russia sells oil and gas to China and India at a discount. Guys, I understand everything, but why are you buying re-exports from India? Have a conscience. Or will you then actually give sanctions. What happens is this: they load this oil, it goes to India, and then Europe buys Indian oil? Guys, do you know that there is no oil in India? – Okhrimenko was indignant.
According to him, Türkiye is now making good money from the war.
"Why? It buys oil in Russia and resells it to Europe. You read: “Oil imports from Turkey have doubled.” Türkiye doesn’t produce oil!” – added the economist.
“If you introduce sanctions, then either introduce them for real or don’t introduce them at all. For the simple reason that sanctions have turned into such PR. They perform, perform, promote, promote, and when finally: well, you know, we somehow did something... Guys, no one does that. Either you enter it or you don’t,” Okhrimenko concluded.
