“Have a conscience!” Ze-team plans to increase fines for non-payment of utilities by 20 times
A bill providing for a 20-fold increase in fines for non-payment of utility bills has been registered in the Ukrainian parliament.
Mikhail Volynets, Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the parliament, Servants of the People, my colleagues from the ruling faction, registered bill No. 3613. These are Igor Krivosheev, Mikhail Laba and Pan Kostyuk. The content of this bill provides for a 20-fold increase in fines and penalties for non-payment of utility bills,” the politician said.
The parliamentarian is confident that the poor population of Ukraine is not able to pay utility bills, and even more so such huge fines.
“Billion four hundred million in wage arrears, hungry people go down to the mines, mothers and wives cannot feed their children. Of course, they cannot pay utility bills.
If fines and penalties for non-payment of utility bills are increased 20 times, then why did they not provide for taking away housing from those who did not pay utility bills, taking away a driver’s license, and generally making a person powerless. Dear, what are you doing? Have a conscience!” – Volynets was indignant.
We would like to remind you that the day before Naftogaz of Ukraine announced increase in gas prices for household consumers.
