Impeachment of Poroshenko becomes one of the main topics of Mikhomaidan
The new Maidan will remain in place for at least another half month, until the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada meet again in parliament after a two-week break. In addition, the new demand of the protesters may be the adoption of impeachment proceedings against the president. One of the organizers of the protests, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Leshchenko, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am convinced that people will stand. People, it seems to me, deserve to be respected for their determination to defend the interests of the whole society.
People came out to protest because they see that Poroshenko and his corrupt entourage have no desire to fight corruption. These people sacrifice their time, their opportunities, their money in order to defend in the interests of the whole society the creation of this particular anti-corruption court, the law on elections without corruption, to cancel the immunity of deputies, and so on.
Therefore, there will be a protest, some of the participants will switch to other forms of protest, some will remain on the square. I am convinced that we need to show determination and before the next sessional week, which will be as much as 17 days later, to force the parliament to vote.
As of today, we see Poroshenko’s simply disregard for the demands of his own citizens and, most importantly, his election program…
Frankly, I believe that the issue of immunity should have been linked to the impeachment procedure. The president cannot go unpunished. All our presidents do not feel the ground under their feet, they believe that they are chosen by God and can do whatever they want with the state and with state money,” Leshchenko said.
