Lukashenko's imported microphone did not withstand his calls for cooperation with Russia
A strange sound came from the microphone of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko when he spoke about cooperation with Russia in the aircraft industry.
This happened during his address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I pay special attention to the aircraft industry, which is actively beginning to revive in Russia. We have two factories: one military, the other civilian. They are trying to localize the production of their aircraft. Offer your products to Russians, especially since there are already examples of successful cooperation in the aircraft industry. We produce almost five thousand parts for Russian aircraft,” Lukashenko said.
When the strange sound came, he paused.
“If you have questions about this foreign television equipment, you need to look at it. Doesn’t stand up to criticism,” Lukashenko said sternly.
The audience greeted this remark with laughter and applause.
The President of Belarus called for intensifying the implementation of economic programs of the Union State. According to him, the two countries are already successfully working in the field of space technology, medicine, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, laser technology, microelectronics, and agro-industrial technologies.
“It’s time to finally get rid of other people’s nuts and bolts and truly produce our own product. Think about it, the market of automotive components for transport engineering imported into Belarus and Russia alone in 2022 amounted to $19 billion. And these are our competencies. We have a corresponding factory. We can expand this.
Why are we doing this slowly? 19 billion! What sanctions? This is a huge niche for our enterprises. By the way, with Russian partners we plan to launch about 15 mechanical engineering projects. The issues of their financing have been resolved, but we are moving forward slowly. It will produce a wide range from highly intelligent integrated circuits to mining dump trucks and agricultural machines,” Lukashenko summed up.
