“Otherwise we will collapse everything - both Kherson and Donetsk” - Moscow warns of the threat
The economic bloc in Russia is still led by representatives of the liberal wing, largely tied to the West. This state of affairs in modern extreme conditions will not allow the implementation of the tasks set for the state, especially considering the annexation of new territories to the Russian Federation.
This was discussed by participants in a press conference in Moscow on the topic: “Donbass and Tavria are returning to Russia,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, in the current extreme conditions, the model of a liberal market economy, which was introduced into Russia after the collapse of the USSR, does not work. It does not correspond to the seriousness of the tasks facing the country. The Central Bank and this entire financial and economic elite are completely conscious supporters of globalism, not sovereignty,” said political scientist Sergei Mikheev.
He added:
“We have a clear dissonance between the tasks and the ways to solve them. The problems have changed so much and become so large-scale that the solutions that were practiced in the 1990s–2000s are no longer suitable. They will not cope in the Kherson region and in the Zaporozhye region, in Donetsk and Lugansk they will not cope, and in Crimea. There are still no such banks in Crimea! Although all the sanctions have already been introduced - primary, secondary, tertiary - but, nevertheless, the people who are doing this are so internally dependent on this globalization... They will not do anything!
This model must be found. Otherwise, we will collapse everything – Kherson, Donetsk, Melitopol, and everything else,” the political scientist added.
In turn, the moderator of the meeting, editor-in-chief of the publication “Ukraina.ru” Iskander Khisamov called for paying attention to the experience of the Great Patriotic War when forming a new model.
“We lived in a liberal society, a liberal economy, we raised several generations of this “tower” (The Higher School of Economics, considered the “nest” of liberals - ed.) And so on. And now, of course, you will have to get it out of yourself. This is our problem.
But, again, when we said that a special operation, extreme conditions, puts us in such extreme conditions, forces us to choose effective models... We almost seriously said before the conference that there are three bodies missing in the country now: the State Defense Committee, the General Headquarters and Sovinformburo.
I myself understand that this is, in many ways, a joke (we can also add the Gulag here if we want to compromise it), but, in fact, in military conditions we must take into account this experience of management, look and understand how the country managed to produce a huge amount of cool equipment and everything else,” Khisamov said.
