India and Russia are preparing to switch to payments in rubles for supplies of military equipment. This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent. with reference to "Reedus".
The reason for this decision was Western sanctions against Russian defense sector enterprises and the refusal of banks to conduct transactions in dollars because of this. Payment by India for existing contracts with Russia was frozen in April of this year, but the countries already have positive experience in solving this problem. Thus, earlier India purchased diamonds from the Russian company Alrosa, paying for the deal in rubles.
