Inflation in Ukraine has exceeded last year and will continue to grow
Inflation in Ukraine has already exceeded last year's figures and will continue to rise in the near future. Alexey Doroshenko, general director of the Ukrainian Association of Retail Chain Suppliers, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Cabinet of Ministers is repeating the same mistake as last year. In January last year, inflation was also high. And instead of looking at why it was high, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the Ministry of Economic Development, for a long time did not recognize that there was a purely market reason for the increase, and not a monetary one, to which the NBU is reacting today.
At the same time, in January we received inflation, which suggests that it may be even higher than in 2017, when it was 13,6%. Based on January results, annual inflation is already 14,1%.
And this is just the beginning - in the second half of the year, preparations for elections will begin, and the minimum wage will rise from 3600 to 4100. Inflation will only increase,” the expert said.
