Inflation “eats” a kilogram of cheese that Groysman gave to the old people

The increase in Ukrainian pensions by 61 hryvnia from July 1 will be “eaten up” by inflation within a month.

People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andrey Antonishchak spoke about this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Inflation will eat up this 60 hryvnia in just a month. With a sharp increase in not only pensions, but also the minimum wage, inflation will immediately rise, because it is not supported by the economy. We have no jobs created. Half of our country is already working abroad,” Antonischak said.

He noted that the purchasing power of Ukrainian pensioners is extremely low.

“We count pensioners not in hryvnias, but in loaves of bread. What can you buy? Very little. Some kind of kefir, maybe a kilogram of cheese. A kilogram of cheese costs 45 hryvnia on the market. You can buy something so small, you can buy potatoes there,” Antonischak said.
