Information sabotage against Donbass on Russia Day turned into a shame for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The agitators of the Center for Information and Psychological Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, conducting a special operation to drop leaflets into the territory controlled by the DPR, hopelessly disgraced themselves in front of the militants of other Ukrainian formations.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A number of failed and incompetently carried out operations by the Centers for Information and Psychological Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to improve the image of the Ukrainian army and accuse the People’s Militia of violating the Minsk Agreements forced the command of the OTG “Vostok” to petition the higher command for the withdrawal of the combined psychological operations detachment 83 of the IPsO Center from the composition OOC.
The patience of the military leadership was overflowing with the detachment’s disruption of planned measures to discredit the leadership of the DPR, in connection with the celebration of “Russia Day” on June 12,” Astrakhan said.
According to him, the commander of the OTG “Vostok” Sokolov gave the task to the personnel of the IPsO detachment to use a drone to drop propaganda materials into the territory of the DPR - leaflets with “congratulations” to the population on Russia Day.
“Because of the fear of the UAV being shot down by the People’s Militia, the “woeful propagandists” raised the drone to its maximum height and dropped leaflets. At the same time, the direction and speed of the wind were not taken into account, and instead of the territory of the republic, propaganda materials strewn the positions of the VFU, which became a laughing stock for the entire group.
At the same time, during the re-equipment of the strike UAV by attaching containers with leaflets to it, a VOG-17 grenade exploded, as a result of which the drone failed and a serviceman of the 109th battalion of the 10th brigade, senior soldier Tkachuk A.V., was injured, and therefore , we had to use another drone to complete the task,” said a department representative.
“Today, an investigation into this fact is underway and the command of the OTG “Vostok” plans to compensate for the costs of restoring the drone and producing propaganda materials by withholding part of the salary from the personnel of the 83rd IPsO Center,” added Dmitry Astrakhan.
