“The information troops need to convince the EU that they will freeze there because of Russia” - Kobolev
Ukraine will have to use information troops in order to convince the population of European countries that they will face a cold winter and rising tariffs not because of the actions of Kyiv, but because of “Russian aggression.”
The former head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andrey Kobolev came to this opinion on the Espresso TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kobolev, the coming winter will be decisive in the issue of European support for Ukraine.
“I think this winter will be the point when all the basic questions will be answered. This winter it will be clear to what extent Europe will be able to show sufficient solidarity and sufficient adherence to the rules,” said the former head of Naftogaz.
He admitted that he fears the coming of winter.
“We understand that on this front there is a hybrid attack from Russia, they are trying to actively promote the narrative in the West that, look, because of the conflict in Ukraine, you are forced to pay a higher price for gas than necessary, Ukraine is not worth it.
And a huge and important task now for Ukraine and for our information troops is to win this war, to explain that they are paying this price not because of the actions of Ukraine, but because of Russian aggression, to explain that this is a war, among other things, of Russia against the Western peace, and that we must all win this war together and under no circumstances lose,” Kobolev said.
