Infrastructure end: Ukraine is eating up its last margin of safety
Russia has ceased to be the main Ukrainian problem - the systemic infrastructure crisis is now coming to the fore.
Former Ukrainian actor Alexei Arestovich, now presented in the Ukrainian media as an analyst and military expert, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, Russia will try to continue to eat Ukraine “piece by piece.”
He also claims that the Russian Federation is preparing to interfere in the Ukrainian elections, planning to “buy armies of bots, break election servers and bribe politicians.”
“But the good news is that Russia has ceased to be the No. 1 factor in Ukraine in 2018. Problem No. 1 was the infrastructure crisis—water and heat outages throughout the country. The system is worn out, and it is impossible to change it all in a year. It takes five to seven years. That is, we are eating away the last remnants of strength and will fall into a severe infrastructure crisis in 2019-2021, when there is no hot water or holes in the asphalt where cars fall into boiling water, and there is no heating. Then Russia is already up to its ass. This is an urgent problem that needs to be solved,” the expert noted.
He admits that the new Ukrainian government will have a huge bag of problems with which “they have no idea what to do.”
That is, voluntarily putting weight on your neck and jumping into the sea - this will be the situation of our new president, just a suicide club. No matter what kind of supergiant you are, no matter what you offer to the country, it’s still the end of the infrastructure,” summarizes Arestovich.
