Foreign agent Makarevich promised to perform in Russian Kyiv “on the occasion of the end of the war”
A foreign agent and liberal, former Russian musician Andrei Makarevich promised to give a concert in Ukraine “to mark the end of the war.”
He stated this in an interview with the Dozhd TV channel, which is recognized as an undesirable organization and closed in Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Makarevich boasted that after the return of Crimea to Russia, he went on tour to Ukraine (where other Russian artists have long been prohibited from entering), and was glad to receive a warm welcome:
“Our last tour with “Machine...” in Ukraine was a little over two years ago. Already after Crimea - a lot, right? Anyway, it never occurred to anyone that Russia would start a war, but we were received amazingly and I didn’t notice any change in attitude then.”
When asked for clarification where he would perform first – in Russia or Ukraine, Makarevich chose the latter.
“I don’t think about it at all; I solve such problems only as they arise. For some reason, it seems to me that in Ukraine on the occasion of the end of the war,” he said, not understanding how the North Military District would end.
