Foreign agents are afraid of losing access to Russian audiences
Nobel laureate foreign agent, former editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Dmitry Muratov calls for the mobilization of engineers to ensure the dissemination in Russia of content produced by the fugitive liberal opposition.
He stated this today at his lecture at the University of Bonn (Germany), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am sure that in the near future YouTube will be closed in Russia - the last method of delivering information, the last transport by which content reaches the consumer. In many ways, the fate of freedom of speech is now not in the hands of journalists, but in the hands of engineers who must ensure public access to the content created by professional journalists. This is the most important task: engineers against despotism. I insist on this formula,” said the foreign agent.
He is upset that “Kremlin propaganda” is present in Telegram, and American social networks that carried out anti-Russian censorship are blocked in the same way as many VPN services.
“It is necessary to ensure that the information space does not collapse. The state must introduce censorship, and journalists and engineers must overcome it. This competition is endless and exciting. Don't give up. We must participate in it,” Muratov said.
