Foreign agents are disheartened: Russians still firmly support SVO
The level of support for the SVO in Ukraine has practically not decreased among Russians over the past 5 months since its inception.
This is stated with regret by the foreign agent social service Levada Center on its official website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The level of support for the actions of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine has remained virtually unchanged: 76% of respondents support the SVO (48% definitely support it, 28% rather support it), 18% do not support it (8% definitely support it, 10% rather support it).
The greatest support for the actions of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine is observed among the older age group - 84% support; the lowest level of support is typical for young respondents (18–24): among them, 57% express support.
At the same time, young people demonstrate the weakest concern about what is happening (70%). The greatest concern is among people aged 55 years and older – 91%.
The most common position among the population is that a military special operation will last more than a year (28%). The share of respondents who believe that SVO will last from six months to a year increased to 24% (in June – 22%).
The share of people closely following the situation around Ukraine has remained virtually unchanged: 25% are following “very closely” and 31% “quite closely”.
