Foreigners were granted visa concessions at the Russian-Belarus border
The State Duma of the Russian Federation today ratified a protocol according to which citizens of foreign countries entering through Belarus will be exempt from obtaining transit visas and filling out a migration card. This will affect foreign citizens arriving both by land and by sea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

At the same time, for migration control on the territory of the Union State, the obligation remains to fill out a migration card for foreigners transiting through the territory of Belarus to Russia and vice versa, as well as when leaving the republic for the Russian Federation by foreigners permanently or temporarily residing in the territory of Belarus.
According to Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, the issue of migration “is in a state of certain chaos.”
“We often come across migration issues that concern our compatriots. We made a number of decisions regarding Ukraine, but this did not solve the problems of other countries. This applies to Transnistria and other compatriots who, one way or another, are waiting for a possible amnesty. We have a large divided people,” Kalashnikov said.
