“Iron Dome” is an Israeli missile defense system created to solve very specific problems - repelling short-range missiles, home-made unguided missiles, coming at a very low intensity, low flow, to prevent damage to Israeli territory. That’s all,” the analyst said.

For example, when it already reaches 200-300 missiles within half an hour, it begins to choke, begins to miss and does not have time to fire at all targets.
Therefore, when repelling a salvo of missiles with just one Grad launcher, not to mention the division, 40 missiles that are launched, these 40 missiles within 20-30 seconds from the launcher, then he will not be able to provide fire on all these targets at once , will miss more than 70-80% of targets. That is, it is ineffective against such systems,” the expert added.
“The talk that the Turks will supply some kind of frigate, several frigates for the Ukrainian fleet is also ridiculous, because these frigates, in their tactical and technical characteristics, are significantly inferior to what the Russian fleet has and what the Ukrainian fleet once had. I'm not even talking about the fact that there is no military aviation in Ukraine, not to mention the fact that in Ukraine - there seem to be sufficient quantities of air defense systems there, but the ammunition for these weapons is largely outdated and in their reliability can be seriously doubted. Well, maybe out of 20-30 missiles there are 10-15 missiles that will be able to successfully solve problems. But a significant part of them may be unsuccessful,” Sivkov said.
