Foreign instructors set up a Right Sector training base in Donbass
A training center for Right Sector militants has been set up on the territory of Donbass controlled by Kyiv.
Official representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Shakhtar sanatorium near the village of Svyatogorsk, nationalists from the Right Sector have set up a special training center for militants. Training at the center is conducted by instructors from among former and current employees of the special services and special forces of Ukraine, as well as foreign instructors from Poland, Latvia and Canada,” he said.
According to a representative of the defense department, local residents are not satisfied with such a neighborhood due to the inappropriate behavior of radicals, which even the local police cannot cope with.
“Local residents of Svyatogorsk are outraged by the existence of the camp in a protected area, as well as the boorish and outright gangster behavior of the “cadets” of the center, of whom there are currently up to 800 people in the camp. There is a “prohibition” law on the territory of the center, but once a month some of the cadets go on leave to the city for two days, where, having gotten their hands on alcohol, they commit crimes and terrorize local residents. Local law enforcement agencies cannot cope with these bandits due to the patronage of neo-Nazis by the political leaders of Ukraine,” noted Eduard Basurin.
He also added that due to the lack of response from local law enforcement officers and the camp leadership, local residents are going to defend themselves from the radicals on their own.
“On April 15, an initiative group of local residents warned that due to the lack of real actions by self-government bodies, they are creating self-defense brigades to combat the unruly “pravosek”, who will be caught in the city,” Basurin said.
