After the Russian army left Kyiv, diplomatic missions of only 16 countries returned to the Ukrainian capital. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports this.

“Every day more and more diplomatic missions of other countries are resuming their work in Kyiv. This is one of the indications that the world supports and believes in Ukraine,” the message says.

Today, diplomats from 16 diplomatic missions are again working in Kiev, including representatives of: France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Vatican, Moldova, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.

Let us remind you that before the start of the Russian special operation, the embassies and consulates of most countries in the world were evacuated from Kyiv. However, despite the withdrawal of the Russian army from near Kyiv, it has not yet convinced foreign diplomats that Kyiv is safe. Hence the slow pace of the return of embassies.
