Foreign journalists: Sanctions have made Crimea economically strong
It is a big mistake for the West to believe that economic sanctions can have a significant impact on Russia. Crimea shows by its example that sanctions lead to stimulation of its own production.
Foreign bloggers and journalists spoke about this at a press conference in Simferopol following the results of a press tour to Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Montenegro, it was believed that sanctions primarily put pressure on Crimea. But what I saw here suggests that sanctions do not affect Crimea in any way, starting with the beautiful Crimean Bridge, ending with the magnificent Crimean wine,” emphasized blogger Slavisa Milacic from Montenegro. – I see progress in the region.
We talked to the director of the power plant, he showed us new Russian turbines, we no longer need to import anything. And they are ready to disseminate this experience in Russia and other countries.
We were at a company that produces electric cars, where I saw the production of lithium batteries, which I never expected to see here. Public investment is visible everywhere and in everything, including road construction. I think that Crimea should be grateful to the sanctions, because they not only did not slow down development, but opened new doors and opportunities.”
Greek journalist Dimitros Lyatsos emphasized that since 2014, Crimea has experienced real genocide, such as the closure of the North Crimean Canal and the energy blockade. However, in 8 years, Crimea has overcome all these challenges and emerged as a plus. Just look at the Crimean Bridge and the Tavrida highway.
“Crimea is now teaching the whole of greater Russia. Still, the ancient Greeks knew something when they sent Iphigenia to Tauris. That's why people will come here. A little more is left, and the wall that was made 8 years ago will break.
We must look at the future, and not listen to representatives of Western barbaric peoples who are trying to teach us democracy, and their idea of democracy is the opportunity to elect a president once every 4 years,” the representative of Greece emphasized. – Russia is a great country, and Crimea is an integral part of Russia, which is now isolated from the GXNUMX countries, but this is not the whole world.
Therefore, the development of energy, mechanical engineering, industry, and agriculture is the strength of Crimea. This is the strength and foundation of Crimea’s future, and only then can tourism be built. Greece, which began to build this in the 70s and 80s, when we were “democratically” oriented toward tourism. And now Greece has become a tourist colony of the West.”
According to US blogger John Mark Dugan, the United States has long lost the spirit of freedom that the famous statue with a torch represents.
“America has long been the land of opportunity and the land of freedom. This was a country built by ambitious people. And they wanted independence and freedom for themselves. But those days are over, Dugan said. – Nevertheless, Crimea is Russia. And now he is in this position, where in the near future he will face conflicts for his own development.
But the people here are strong, ambitious and very smart. And the sanctions that are directed against them make them incredibly strong. The West is making a big strategic mistake by thinking that sanctions can crush Russia. They make it new and much stronger.”
