Yesterday, at a meeting of the committee of public support for residents of the south-east of Ukraine in the Federation Council, the head of the ICR department, Alexander Drymanov, admitted that Interpol, having put the leader of the Ukrainian “Right Sector” Dmitry Yarosh on the wanted list, refused to look for the oligarch and governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine Igor Kolomoisky, accused in absentia of organizing and financing the “Dnepr”, “Azov” battalions and other armed formations that committed murders and kidnappings of civilians, including Russian journalists, and other serious crimes.
As Kommersant reports, General Drymanov said that Interpol linked the criminal prosecution of the oligarch “with certain political events.” In accordance with the charter of the international police, it refuses the requesting party to search for accused or suspects if it sees political motives in their persecution.
