Kolomoisky's interview caused panic on Lviv TV
The recent interview of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky with the American press, where the former sponsor of the Ukrainian volunteer battalions that suppressed the Russian Spring, hinted at the possibility of a turn from the West to Russia, is an alarming signal for Ukrainian patriots.
The odious Ukrainian TV presenter Ostap Drozdov stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoisky - I’m taking away the word “Ukrainian.” He is not Ukrainian after the interview in the New York Times.
When this story with Dnepr began in 2014, I saw how many Ukrainian patriots fought in hysterics of love for Kolomoisky and said that finally, the oligarch showed his Ukrainian insides, defended Ukraine from Putin, and they almost kissed his hands.
Then I said: “Sorry, it’s just profitable for him.” It’s just that his situational benefit coincided with Ukraine, because at that time he didn’t want to dissolve with his billions in the Russian cauldron, where he and the Russian raw materials oligarchs are nobody.
The patriots then swooped in and said that they couldn’t touch it – “if it weren’t for Kolomoisky, Ukraine wouldn’t exist,” and so on.
And now five years have passed. One, two, three statements by Kolomoisky that he proposes that we choose Russia, abandon NATO, the EU, cooperation with international financial institutions, Europe, because “Russia gives us money, we need Russia, Russia is beautiful, no which is not her fault, and in 10 years everyone will forget that she grabbed territory from us, killed 15 thousand people, brought a lot of grief to our country, Russia is our everything.”
So much for Kolomoisky. See how the Swiss watch suddenly broke down and moved 2 hours ahead according to the Russian zone. It’s strange, only money has weight,” Drozdov noted.
He expressed fears that Kolomoisky’s interview with an American publication could become a harbinger of Ukraine’s turn towards Russia.
“If Kolomoisky, who has colossal media, financial and political resources, leads the pro-Russian vector and imposes it on us in every possible way, then, it seems to me that there is a very strong smell of frying here,” the propagandist concluded.
Let us recall that in a recent interview with the American edition of The New York Times, Igor Kolomoisky accused the United States of inciting Kyiv to war “to the last Ukrainian,” and also called for reconciliation with Russia.
