We cannot use Poklonskaya’s interview with Gordon – Ukrainian prosecutor
The interview of the ex-prosecutor of Crimea, State Duma deputy Natalia Poklonskaya with the Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon has no value for the Ukrainian security forces.
The fake “prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Igor Ponochevny stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Ponochevny, the interview cannot be used as evidence for the prosecution in the criminal case filed in Ukraine against Poklonskaya.
“In fact, in the interview she didn’t say anything new; she only additionally, as a representative of the occupation authorities, confirmed the facts on which we are carrying out a pre-trial investigation. She also reported those facts that caused us to have doubts about her awareness that she is a suspect in Ukraine, for what exactly...
In the interview, she did not provide any evidence as such. And in principle, her interview cannot be used as direct evidence of any criminal acts,” Ponochevny said.
Earlier, Ukrainian nationalists criticized Dmitry Gordon for giving Poklonskaya the opportunity to speak out. As an argument in his defense, Gordon's wife Olesya Batsman stated that the interview allegedly has value for Ukrainian law enforcement officers and the prosecutor's office has already taken it into work.
