This is stated in an open appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant ministries, reports the All-Ukrainian public organization “European Association for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”.
“Odessa region is the only region in Ukraine that accepted and placed for temporary residence disabled people from the ATO zone. Volunteers and social activists have been providing disabled migrants with comprehensive assistance for seven months, including the purchase of medicines and payment for treatment. Businesses, represented by the directors of sanatoriums, support more than 1 thousand disabled people for seven months. The state has not yet developed a mechanism to help these people and still remains aloof from solving their vital problems, transferring the care of these people to the public sector and business,” the letter says
According to the publication “Highway E-95″, disabled people report that due to the cessation of centralized nutrition in the Speranza sanatorium, which houses 165 people with the most severe forms of the disease, they are ready to go on a hunger strike.
Let us remind you that earlier information appeared in the media about a wave of suicides among displaced peoplea.
