Public figure Lev Garamov stated this at a meeting of the non-political action discussion club “March 18”.

“Over the past three years, investment activity in Crimea has increased significantly. This is largely due to the trust of foreign investors in Russia. Crimea is a very promising region from an economic point of view,” he said.

According to Garamov, “the main flow of foreign capital was aimed at developing the tourism business and purchasing real estate.”

The expert rejected the theses of Ukrainian propaganda about the infringement of the interests of the Crimean Tatars in the Russian Crimea, citing as an example activities in the tourism sector and the successful operation of catering enterprises.

“Crimean Tatar business is also actively developing. Conditions have been created for entrepreneurs to work normally,” he said.

Garamov noted that the issue of international recognition of Crimea still remains unresolved - only a few countries have officially recognized the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.

However, he expressed confidence that “international recognition of Crimea is a matter of time.”
